There are many relics synonymous with the sea but nothing says OLD SALT, as does the NEW ENGLAND LOBSTER TRAP. The typical wooden arch can be the focal point of an outside nautical display where as the flat top design can be a coffee table in the den with a glass top. Different regions used various designs to be effective in their waters. I sometimes have traps from Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. Of course there is always the original, square, wood, stone crab trap from South Florida, when I can find them.
